PluginManagerInterface

The singleton object returned by the global PluginManager() function, exposing a small set of legacy Studio plugin utilities.

This class is not replicated. Its interface does not cross the network boundary.
This class is not creatable. Instances of this class cannot be created with Instance.new.

Description

PluginManagerInterface is the singleton object returned by the global PluginManager() function, which can be called from a plugin or from Studio's Command Bar. It provides a small set of legacy Studio utilities for exporting geometry — PluginManagerInterface:ExportPlace() and PluginManagerInterface:ExportSelection() — along with the deprecated PluginManagerInterface:CreatePlugin() method. Calling the PluginManager() global requires plugin security.

CreatePlugin

Instance

Creates and returns a new Plugin object, attached to the current place's data model. The returned plugin is associated with the plugin that called this method, so it unloads together with its creator.

This method is deprecated. The steps to create a plugin have changed, and new work should use Plugin directly rather than constructing one through PluginManager(). Calling this method requires plugin security.

This function is deprecated. It exists only for backward compatibility, and should not be used for new work.
